Science of the Heart

The human heart emits the strongest electromagnetic field in our body. This electromagnetic field envelops the entire body extending out in all directions, and it can be measured up to several feet outside of the body. Research from the Institute of HeartMath shows that this emotional information is encoded in this energetic field. HeartMath researchers have also seen that as we consciously focus on feeling a positive emotion - such as care, appreciation, compassion or love - it has a beneficial effect on our own health and well-being, and can have a positive affect on those around us.

The site above was referred by someone in place of the question with regard to Intelligence in the Subconscious.

I can speak on this subject because of the research path I took independent of the system described above.  So I have developed many insights with regard to the heart on my own that ring with the same understanding that the site above speaks too.

  1. Testing your DISQUS, Plato... You may also switch to the newer DISQUS 2012 version which is automatically updating etc. It's in your DISQUS dashboard, your blog, Settings (on the right), first entry is DISQUS 2012 checkbox.

    Thanks Lubos,

Will I loose info if I transverse to .com from

Is the gauss value mentioned in this clip ? Is the measurement methodology explained in this clip ?

RBM:Is the gauss value mentioned in this clip ? Is the measurement methodology explained in this clip ?

I looked for some mention of the technology your asking and if you see the video, it talks about coherency. Looking further they mention a EmWave2 device. I am not sure exactly how it is measuring......but yes these are valid questions one would like to have to check out the technology.

    Any thoughts there?

    From site:

Question: What is coherence and how can I increase mine?

    Answer: The Institute of
HeartMath talks a great deal about coherence – heart coherence,
heart-rhythm coherence, physiological coherence, etc. – because the
state of coherence is so important in helping each of us maintain our
mental, emotional, physical and spiritual well-being. Coherence, in
relation to any system, including the human body, refers to a logical,
orderly and harmonious connectedness between parts. Borrowing from
physics, when we are in a coherent state, virtually no energy is wasted
because our systems are performing optimally and there is
synchronization between the heart, respiratory system, blood-pressure
rhythms, heart-rate variability patterns, etc. When we speak of
heart-rhythm coherence, we are referring to smooth, ordered heart-rhythm
patterns. Among the many benefits of coherence are calmness, good
energy levels, clear thinking and proper immune-system function.

Each of us is capable of achieving, maintaining and increasing our
coherence. One of the simplest and quickest paths to heart coherence is
through intentional positive feelings – compassion, caring, love and
other such emotions. In contrast, we can quickly become incoherent when
we experience negative attitudes such as anger, fear and anxiety. A
wonderful first step for learning how to increase your coherence is
through HeartMath’s Coherence Coach®, a downloadable, interactive software application that includes the highly acclaimed Quick Coherence®
technique for achieving coherence, refocusing emotions and releasing
stress. Once learned, the Quick Coherence technique only takes a minute
to do. All of HeartMath’s easily learned tools and techniques take
minutes or less once learned. Read more about the Coherence Coach®.

We also invite you to visit the following HeartMath Web page to learn
more about coherence and how to achieve it, so you can begin
transforming your life today: Learn about coherence.

If you have researched Bio Feedback this is basically what I am seeing. If you measure heart rate and temperature through the practise of quieting ( a technical term your physician might give to you) this is basically what you are doing....I am assuming.

Controlling your cursor on the screen was a inevitable method adapted later on?

I recognized this process as quite useful a long time ago before the EMwave2 came along. I am assuming it is built on the same technology.

    Peretti's work
The main theme of the vast video archive created through the use of biofeedback technology is the dissociative behavior that anticipates emotional reactions.

  8. With every heart beat, the emWave site explains, the heart transmits
complex patterns of neurological, hormonal, pressure and electromagnetic
information to the brain and throughout the body. As such, it is
uniquely positioned as a powerful entry point into the communication
network that connects body, mind, emotions and spirit.

There's a sparsity of technical details, several links deep, so I'm still digging. I'm still coming back to the brain, at this point.

  9. I have not found my firefox addon BBcodeXtra, which is allows menu driven canned code to create hyperlinks and what not to work in Disqus, although my research indicates it is supported.

Is this intentional by you or an oversight ?

  10. Having watched the video I suspect this is a sort of biofeedback tech.

I have philosophical/technical issues with the sales pitch but I'm sure they think their 'heart is in the right place'. Given the nature of the product, my issues are relatively minor.

I have, by the way, recently purchased a NeuroSky Mindwave:
I have not used it much, at this time, but have the environment set up so I can use it at any moments notice.

Not even sure what you wrote given the context of the html language="BBcodeXtra, which is allows menu driven canned code to create hyperlinks and what not to work in Disqus,". Not that smart with the code.....definitely could use some help here.

None of the html language works and definitely not what I signed up for.

  12. You've answered my query >

"None of the html language works and definitely not what I signed up for."

I did a quick Google search and came up with pages giving instructions on how to code HTML in Disqus, but didn't spend enough time on them to note anything more. What I found indicated Disqus supports HTML, so maybe you have to dig into the 'Disqus toolbox' and change a setting.

    Good Luck.

  14. Yeah, a page I came across. It's several degrees over my head, from getting an immediate grasp and so would require a lot of climbing up the learning curve.

That's only a curve of interest insofar as allowing me to navigate here.
