The Flow In our Lives

In positive psychology, flow, also known as the zone, is the mental state of operation in which a person performing an activity is fully immersed in a feeling of energized focus, full involvement, and enjoyment in the process of the activity. In essence, flow is characterized by complete absorption in what one does. Named by Mihály Csíkszentmihályi, the concept has been widely referenced across a variety of fields (and has an especially big recognition in occupational therapy), though the concept has existed for thousands of years under other guises, notably in some Eastern religions.[1] Achieving flow is often colloquially referred to as being in the zone.
Flow shares many characteristics with hyperfocus. However, hyperfocus is not always described in a positive light. Some examples include spending "too much" time playing video games or getting side-tracked and pleasurably absorbed by one aspect of an assignment or task to the detriment of the overall assignment. In some cases, hyperfocus can "capture" a person, perhaps causing them to appear unfocused or to start several projects, but complete few.  Flow (psychology)

The standard definition seems to be lacking for me in terms of the experience as that flow had come to me with meaning. At its most deepest levels the experience had an alignment with all aspects of my experiences in life, as if lead to it. These pathways,  as if by laying all these lines over top one another according to an arrow of time.  It is where all these lines crossed.

While on the larger scale of experience, an objectification of actions, at the same time a subjective interpretation, becomes a pathway of expression of experiencing. This to me was like seeing qualitative equations underlying our expression of the words and experiences according too. An geometrical expression of the human experience. That, if one goes backward to a source, it would be like becoming in touch with this stream.....the flow that one touches, as if dipping a finger into the current described as the flow of life....the energy of our life expression. Once connected,  totally immersed.

I talked about this with regard to a fighting aspect in hand to hand, as a momentum felt in a circular motion, as if one used to propel this momentum through a continued force of expression. I saw this in light of Lagrangian understanding as using this to propel satellites further onward to other planets.

 In terms of Lagrangian, one is looking for the least see that life expression always finds the fastest route and as fleeting as Deja Vu human perception is capable of perceiving that time frame.

 One has to find this subjective location in life as toward one understanding where these lines cross.  You would understand that it allows for such a pathway to have expressed itself as the life experience.

 In another form of expression I see this flow, as a connection to the arrow of time, as one would regard confirmation of life according to its enforcement as  in the deja Vu experience. One would think a predetermination as a loss in will, but this is contrary to not living our life plan as we had choose it. So one can see, how a choice was made to enter here into this life experience.....and that we choose other routes willingly

 Psychology(flow) had quite a list, and one of those stood out was the if to be consumed by the rise and fall of the rhythms inherent in the words of expression.  Again at the most deepest levels of these are as a subjective experience, that becomes a undifferentiated of any other.

In his book Synchronicity (1952), Jung tells the following story as an example of a synchronistic event:

My example concerns a young woman patient who, in spite of efforts made on both sides, proved to be psychologically inaccessible. The difficulty lay in the fact that she always knew better about everything. Her excellent education had provided her with a weapon ideally suited to this purpose, namely a highly polished Cartesian rationalism with an impeccably “geometrical” idea of reality. After several fruitless attempts to sweeten her rationalism with a somewhat more human understanding, I had to confine myself to the hope that something unexpected and irrational would turn up, something that would burst the intellectual retort into which she had sealed herself. Well, I was sitting opposite her one day, with my back to the window, listening to her flow of rhetoric. She had an impressive dream the night before, in which someone had given her a golden scarab — a costly piece of jewellery. While she was still telling me this dream, I heard something behind me gently tapping on the window. I turned round and saw that it was a fairly large flying insect that was knocking against the window-pane from outside in the obvious effort to get into the dark room. This seemed to me very strange. I opened the window immediately and caught the insect in the air as it flew in. It was a scarabaeid beetle, or common rose-chafer (Cetonia aurata), whose gold-green colour most nearly resembles that of a golden scarab. I handed the beetle to my patient with the words, "Here is your scarab." This experience punctured the desired hole in her rationalism and broke the ice of her intellectual resistance. The treatment could now be continued with satisfactory results.[16]
and: are "meaningful coincidences" if they occur with no apparent causal relationship, yet seem to be meaningfully related.

Yes you can see how the world of the woman by an event, knocked her out of her orbit? events given by deja Vu, this is a lining up of the information that exists in the mathematical/dream world to events as a classical description? The causal connection can seem totally unrelated, in the case that natural world described as the classical, can intercede with the mental realm of ones thought with such precision as to its timing.

I had an event, given that I was lost in the mental realm of deep thought, and the correlation of cognition as to an event, did happen and materialized in that same exact moment. You have to understand that you are aware of this deeper level of action going on underneath the existence of the material world.

Immanuel Kant, in the Critique of Pure Reason, described time as an a priori intuition that allows us (together with the other a priori intuition, space) to comprehend sense experience.[60] With Kant, neither space nor time are conceived as substances, but rather both are elements of a systematic mental framework that necessarily structures the experiences of any rational agent, or observing subject. Kant thought of time as a fundamental part of an abstract conceptual framework, together with space and number, within which we sequence events, quantify their duration, and compare the motions of objects. In this view, time does not refer to any kind of entity that "flows," that objects "move through," or that is a "container" for events. Spatial measurements are used to quantify the extent of and distances between objects, and temporal measurements are used to quantify the durations of and between events. Time was designated by Kant as the purest possible schema of a pure concept or category. Time
If we examined the nature of time in regards to what can exist in two places at one time what would relegated the experience so as to confirm a connection with nature's animal with one's internal experience?

So one perceives experience in life as lining up with other people blending with them, but the true value of the synchronize event is not really understood this way. What is the scarab's role "as a another group of people," following the same path way to merge with yours? Do we say the scarab and people, are the same thing?

 Now of course as I think deeper on this subject questions arise as to how one may see the world of dream time? This is so as to suggest that patterns are arising from a different world then the one we awaken too. So how do such patterns in seeing allow us to see and have precognitive events of what is to come? Just some thoughts then in regard to what happens in a irrational state so as to suggest that quantum cognition is operating in these areas where patterns are emerging?

Can such an allocation of the mathematical realm ensue into the world of the classical in such a way as to describe that the mathematical world and dream time are on the same plain? As consciousness is exploring what affects could contain the idea of a mathematical realm distant from the affect of emotions that hold consciousness close, and in such an inspiration state allow consciousness to move beyond the containment aspect of a negative emotion?

So elements of the expression of the physical world are being manipulated if I am to say, that would lead some to believe that there is no free will, yet we live lives that are not always synchronized with the pattern developed, so as having chosen a different Path?

Jung, in conjunction with the physicist Wolfgang Pauli, explored the possibility that his concepts of the archetype and synchronicity might be related to the unus mundus - the archetype being an expression of unus mundus; synchronicity, or "meaningful coincidence", being made possible by the fact that both the observer and connected phenomenon ultimately stem from the same source, the unus mundus.[2]

In 1952, he(Jung)published a paper "Synchronizität als ein Prinzip akausaler Zusammenhänge" (Synchronicity – An Acausal Connecting Principle)[4] in a volume which also contained a related study by the physicist and Nobel laureate Wolfgang Pauli.[5]
How is causality a connect in the case of the meaning of our experiences? The example given of the woman in OP and the scarab? Maybe, it could be explained away as coincidence? See also :


Feynman used his cognition skills to invent things that already happened in order to develop his skill as a scientist. He had to teach himself how discoveries were arrived at, without following the trajectory of the discoverers. This correlation of cognition sets up his confidence skills so as to pursue how he saw the world, and how he could simplify the interaction of such particles, as to say, these are feynman diagrams.

Regarding the quote of Einstein's reminded me of Dirac and what he had to say.

You can picture all the directions in Minkowski space as the points in a three-dimensional projective space. The relationships between vectors, null-vectors and so on - - and you get at once just the relationships between points in a three-dimensional vector space. Yes I was looking into Jim Gate's Adinkras. But regarding your observations I am looking.( ) What beauty emerges and you understand what a story does to helping to change perspective about a topic. That this is totally devoid of the materialistic notion that art can bring toward our understanding of what lies in the realm of ideas, all of a sudden blossoms on screen as color.

Such shifts in perspective have been understood with regard to sonification, as color. While it has a history this bend toward the mystical, it is a valid correlation when see light as a chaldni plate recording shape with sound. Such distinctions, in there own right serve to illustrate a collapse of the wave function?

Feynman: Take the world from another point of view (1/4)

 The point(This is synesthesia-yes I know) is that when you look from different perspective and remain open to information you get insights as to the way in which the storyteller provides a new platform for you. Same as Jim Gates and the Adinkras. You do not have to believe its real or not but the ideas arise out of a place that we may call irrationality, but the beauty of information does now settle into the mind. Do you understand what I am saying....I am using synesthesia as an example. Its not a vase, but a face. A cube, can shift your perspective.

Cross wiring in the brain allows this attribute of synesthesia to bring a new perspective to the reality, yet, it is still a sensual example of our participation in the real world of senses. You have to be able to shift perspective, to be able to garner new points of view.

This article takes as its point of departure the view that the discovery of the mathematical formalism of quantum mechanics (QM) was not merely a discovery of a new mathematical way of dealing with physical, and specifically quantum, processes in nature. It was also a discovery of a general mathematical formalism (in part discovered in mathematics itself earlier), which, supplemented by certain additional rules, consistently described the processing of incomplete information about certain events and contexts in which these events occur. This article proposes a quantum-like (QL) model of the functioning of the brain based on the (Hilbert-space) formalism of quantum mechanics, but now used as part of a QL mathematical model of neural processes in the brain, rather than for describing quantum physical processes. This model is, thus, fundamentally different from the (reductionist) quantum model of the brain and consciousness, according to which cognition arises by virtue of physical quantum processes in the brain. In the present view, the brain is an advanced biological system that developed the ability to create a QL representation of contexts, which, thus, allows one to describe a significant part of its functioning by the QM mathematical formalism. The possibility of such a description has nothing to do with the constitution and workings of the brain as a quantum system (composed of photons, electrons, protons, and so forth). I see the Quantum Cognition community as being different then the one examining quantum mechanics in biology. Remember Quantum Robin? In this respect I may be mistaken, is where Penrose and Hameroff operate as to identifying an operation in the biology, yet, the neurological affect is an attribute of the erasure experiment in observation, versus not observing. The experiment is recording whether you are aware or not.

 If your animal is a scarab(not a drunk) or really a life's event is a "collision course with an animal" at the exact same time you are thinking about it? A collision course with the real world was inevitable given that you were unaware of the significance of the association between what happens in the mental realm and what is seen as irrationality given that we can see beyond the classical modern day experience. You are establishing patterns beyond ones everyday association with reality in the classical way. So, what came first?

Distilliation, as Deductive Logic

I mean the deductive logic while being objective according to being logical, to get to that point of knowing, was a exploration into the way deductive logic was being used. I think deductive logic is before Aristotelian from what I understand and to get to that point is critical.

 As Plato tells it, the beautiful orderliness of the universe is not only the manifestation of Intellect; it is also the model for rational souls to understand and to emulate. Such understanding and emulation restores those souls to their original state of excellence, a state that was lost in their embodiment. There is, then, an explicit ethical and religious dimension to the discourse. Belief and Intent are very important here as the person comes to a position of judgment. I do not need to talk about the person, their qualities as a human being other then to know that people in general what ever their profession make judgements, and these become the intent, even if they wish to connect in that moment. Why Judgement is so important as a finality to making a decision about things. This in that moment as to recognizing the intent, betrays the pursuit of what is wanted to be known, so there is this to consider.

The link to Ian I remember. Sort of brings up another point I wish to reveal in consideration of that moment. This I connected to synchronicity a long time ago, as I read Jung. As TC mentions intent is very important, and freewill in this life as the person "is" an able function while we are here. This moment is directly connected to logic and deja vu. The moment, is a parallel recognition of something forward in time, as to a recognition of the course you are following in that moment, and why you recognize it. It confirms, that you are following the correct path.

I mentioned the Park , to show that this has been with me for almost 50 years now so as to decipher the way in which I as individual could connect to the data as information from in the Larger Consciousness System( LCS.) That experience was located in the dream environment, so such a construct of images of people what ever their religion could call this philosopher a God, or, what ever their religion may be, was a time of respect in the encounter.

The point was this connection to the LCS was a method that I was able to recognize, and consequent information reveal an understanding of the point I had been referring too, after all these years. I had time then to perfect that method. While living I had no access to teachers, so I had to find the teacher in me to connect for the answers. Why I would profess that people have this ability in them to be the teacher and student at once. Why, I want to drive people to this point. It s a small moment of enlightenment if you will that had intrigue my life ever since.

Now people talk about magic, and I understand that there is this possibility that they will see something that will not follow all the rules we have come to know of in science, so this is why I engage science. Why I followed the development of quantum gravity. Go ahead quote and use any knowledgeable person you would like and you cannot change the experience( I am referring to an objective experience). A person of that ilk will know something about science that not everyone else knows. My perspective with regard to materialism was well formed before TC came along. The mystery of what is not know of consciousness, as we learn to recognize, will eventually become an ability of its use.

I find "incubation" a good term with regard to intent. Distillation, an apt term to decipher the context of one's life experience, and of the understanding emotion. Emotion, as if used in a olfactory sense, provide for the impetus for memory to be placed in existence as data. I associated the collective unconscious as a permeation of a fabric of reality as all that exists as data, as information. Water would not be understood without understand the emotive quality that one might assign to it. How fluid as a substance that flows through the body as a distillation as memory would leave nothing but the hard fact of ones experience..Ouspensky,  was good and finding that point in between the moments.

After purchasing and studying Newton's alchemical works in 1942, economist John Maynard Keynes, for example, opined that "Newton was not the first of the age of reason, he was the last of the magicians". Isaac Newton's occult studies

So in a sense, I may have given a glimpse of the man known as Sir Isaac Newton, as being in such a question as to understand his biology, to see that the use of distillation, was a form of deductive logic. I had come to recognize it did not lessen the ability of Sir Issac Newton to be shown as a suspected illogical side to him while he wrote his Optics, but a better understanding by him of the matters that course through him, and as matters in the earth.

Before computers came along, we existed, and so did libraries as data banks of information, but still the cataloged data as that kind of information did not speak to what could be gained from using intent to find answers, so it had to be found somewhere.

What Is Déjà Vu?


Déjà vu (French pronunciation: [deʒa vy] ( listen), literally "already seen") is the experience of feeling sure that one has already witnessed or experienced a current situation, even though the exact circumstances of the prior encounter are uncertain and were perhaps imagined. The term was coined by a French psychic researcher, Émile Boirac (1851–1917) in his book L'Avenir des sciences psychiques ("The Future of Psychic Sciences"), which expanded upon an essay he wrote while an undergraduate. The experience of déjà vu is usually accompanied by a compelling sense of familiarity, and also a sense of "eeriness", "strangeness", "weirdness", or what Sigmund Freud calls "the uncanny". The "previous" experience is most frequently attributed to a dream, although in some cases there is a firm sense that the experience has genuinely happened in the past.[1]



 Scientific research

The psychologist Edward B. Titchener in his book A Textbook of Psychology (1928), wrote that déjà vu is caused by a person getting a brief glimpse of an object or situation prior to full conscious perception, resulting in a false sense of familiarity.[2] The explanation that has mostly been accepted of déjà vu is not that it is an act of "precognition" or "prophecy", but rather that it is an anomaly of memory, giving the false impression that an experience is "being recalled".[3][4] This explanation is supported by the fact that the sense of "recollection" at the time is strong in most cases, but that the circumstances of the "previous" experience (when, where, and how the earlier experience occurred) are quite uncertain or believed to be impossible. Likewise, as time passes, subjects can exhibit a strong recollection of having the "unsettling" experience of déjà vu itself, but little or no recollection of the specifics of the event(s) or circumstance(s) they were "remembering" when they had the déjà vu experience. In particular, this may result from an overlap between the neurological systems responsible for short-term memory and those responsible for long-term memory (events which are perceived as being in the past). The events would be stored into memory before the conscious part of the brain even receives the information and processes it.[citation needed]

 Links with disorders

Early researchers tried to establish a link between déjà vu and serious psychopathology such as schizophrenia, anxiety, and dissociative identity disorder, and failed to find the experience of some diagnostic value. There does not seem to be a special association between déjà vu and schizophrenia or other psychiatric conditions.[5] The strongest pathological association of déjà vu is with temporal lobe epilepsy.[6][7] This correlation has led some researchers to speculate that the experience of déjà vu is possibly a neurological anomaly related to improper electrical discharge in the brain. As most people suffer a mild (i.e. non-pathological) epileptic episode regularly (e.g. a hypnagogic jerk, the sudden "jolt" that frequently, but not always, occurs just prior to falling asleep) it is conjectured that a similar (mild) neurological aberration occurs in the experience of déjà vu, resulting in an erroneous sensation of memory.


Certain drugs increase the chances of déjà vu occurring in the user. Some pharmaceutical drugs, when taken together, have also been implicated in the cause of déjà vu. Taiminen and Jääskeläinen (2001)[8] reported the case of an otherwise healthy male who started experiencing intense and recurrent sensations of déjà vu upon taking the drugs amantadine and phenylpropanolamine together to relieve flu symptoms. He found the experience so interesting that he completed the full course of his treatment and reported it to the psychologists to write up as a case study. Due to the dopaminergic action of the drugs and previous findings from electrode stimulation of the brain (e.g. Bancaud, Brunet-Bourgin, Chauvel, & Halgren, 1994),[9] Taiminen and Jääskeläinen speculate that déjà vu occurs as a result of hyperdopaminergic action in the mesial temporal areas of the brain.

 Memory-based explanations

The similarity between a déjà-vu-eliciting stimulus and an existing, but different, memory trace may lead to the sensation.[5][10] Thus, encountering something which evokes the implicit associations of an experience or sensation that cannot be remembered may lead to déjà vu. In an effort to experimentally reproduce the sensation, Banister and Zangwill (1941)[11][12] used hypnosis to give participants posthypnotic amnesia for material they had already seen. When this was later re-encountered, the restricted activation caused thereafter by the posthypnotic amnesia resulted in three of the 10 participants reporting what the authors termed "paramnesias". Memory-based explanations may lead to the development of a number of non-invasive experimental methods by which a long sought-after analogue of déjà vu can be reliably produced that would allow it to be tested under well-controlled experimental conditions. Cleary[10] suggests that déjà vu may be a form of familiarity-based recognition (recognition that is based on a feeling of familiarity with a situation) and that laboratory methods of probing familiarity-based recognition hold promise for probing déjà vu in laboratory settings. Another possible explanation for the phenomenon of déjà vu is the occurrence of "cryptomnesia", which is where information learned is forgotten but nevertheless stored in the brain, and similar occurrences invoke the contained knowledge, leading to a feeling of familiarity because of the situation, event or emotional/vocal content, known as "déjà vu".


Some parapsychologists have advocated some unorthodox interpretations of déjà vu. Ian Stevenson and a minority of other researchers have written that some cases of déjà vu might be explained on the basis of reincarnation.[13][14] Anthony Peake has written that déjà vu experiences occur as people are living their lives not for the first time but at least the second.[15]

 Jamais vu

Jamais vu (from French, meaning "never seen") is a term in psychology which is used to describe any familiar situation which is not recognized by the observer.
Often described as the opposite of déjà vu, jamais vu involves a sense of eeriness and the observer's impression of seeing the situation for the first time, despite rationally knowing that he or she has been in the situation before. Jamais vu is more commonly explained as when a person momentarily does not recognize a word, person, or place that they already know. Jamais vu is sometimes associated with certain types of aphasia, amnesia, and epilepsy.
Theoretically, as seen below, a jamais vu feeling in a sufferer of a delirious disorder or intoxication could result in a delirious explanation of it, such as in the Capgras delusion, in which the patient takes a person known by him or her for a false double or impostor. If the impostor is himself, the clinical setting would be the same as the one described as depersonalisation, hence jamais vus of oneself or of the very "reality of reality", are termed depersonalisation (or surreality) feelings.

Chris Moulin, of the University of Leeds, asked 95 volunteers to write out "door" 30 times in 60 seconds. At the International Conference on Memory in Sydney last week he reported that 68 percent of the volunteers showed symptoms of jamais vu, such as beginning to doubt that "door" was a real word. Dr. Moulin believes that a similar brain fatigue underlies a phenomenon observed in some schizophrenia patients: that a familiar person has been replaced by an impostor. Dr. Moulin suggests they could be suffering from chronic jamais vu.[16]

 Presque vu (Tip of the tongue)

Déjà vu is similar to, but distinct from, the phenomenon called tip of the tongue, a situation when someone cannot recall a familiar word or name, but with effort one eventually recalls the elusive memory. In contrast, déjà vu is a feeling that the present situation has occurred before, but the details are elusive because the situation never happened before.
Presque vu (from French, meaning "almost seen") is the sensation of being on the brink of an epiphany. Often very disorienting and distracting, presque vu rarely leads to an actual breakthrough. Frequently, one experiencing presque vu will say that they have something "on the tip of my tongue".

 Déjà entendu

Déjà entendu, (literally "already heard") is the experience of feeling sure that one has already heard something, even though the exact details are uncertain and were perhaps imagined.[17][18]

 Reja vu

The feeling something that has happened or is happening will happen again, possibly in the near future, possibly in the distant future.

Déjà vu provides a plot point in The Matrix, a 1999 science fiction-action film written and directed by Larry and Andy Wachowski. The protagonist, Neo, glances at a black cat and comments that he has just experienced déjà vu. Those with a knowledge of 'The Matrix' and its internal workings state that déjà vu means something within the Matrix was altered from its prior state and is referred to as a "glitch".
The 2006 science fiction film Déjà Vu revolves around a US federal law enforcement officer using an instrument called Snowhite to view the past 4 and a half days of anywhere in the world (limited radius as permissible by the program) in order to solve a murder and a terrorist bomb attack on a ferry that was being boarded by about 500 citizens and military members.


Déjà Vu was the third episode of the second season of Monty Python's Flying Circus, a British comedy program. Michael Palin plays a television host with the problem.[19]
The concept is explored in the episode 119 of Garfield and Friends in the Orson's Farm segment.
The final episode of season 1 of Charmed, called "Déjà Vu All Over Again" sees Phoebe Halliwell reliving the same day over and over again at the hands of a demon named Tempus.[20]
Déjà Vu is also a recurring plot element on Fringe. In the Season One episode, "The Road Not Taken", Olivia described the experience of déjà vu to Walter after she briefly experienced an alternate reality as the result of being a Cortexiphan subject. In the Season Two episode "White Tulip", Olivia experiences déjà vu while investigating the apartment of a time traveler who reset the timeline.
Déjà Vu is also a plot element in the "Mystery Episode" of the television series Supernatural where Sam Winchester wakes up in the same day as a result of being trapped in a time loop.

First came the heterodyne. The principle of "beats" or difference tones between simultaneous audio pitches was well known since antiquity, but Reginald Fessenden in 1901 was the first to apply the principle to radio transmissions [3]. Originally both radio frequencies were to be transmitted, received with two antennas, and combined in a detector.
